The Mission
Mission:
We are passionate about children. Helping homeless children locally and around the world is our driving motivation. It is our Mission that the Bulrushes business will result in millions of happy babies, with comfortable feet, in loving homes.
Where did Bulrushes come from?
I have always cared about orphaned children. So much so that I became an adoption social worker. Becoming a mother deepened my resolve to fight for children who have no parents. My heart breaks for millions of children on the streets or in over-crowded orphanages with no mommy or daddy to hold them when they are hurting or frightened. Adoption costs often prevent children from having parents to love them. Therefore, we have committed to use half of Bulrushes net profits to assist in the placement of orphaned children into loving homes.
Our name, Bulrushes, was chosen from the story of a baby named Moses. He was found by a princess who heard him crying from within a tiny basket that was hidden amongst the bulrushes. Being moved by the infant's cries, the princess saved his life and adopted him as her own son.
We have partnered with a non-profit organization called Hadassah's Hope in our fight to bring comfort to children without parents. Our favorite organizations that are helping children:
